We are attributing this piece to Listed American Artist John Marin (1875-1953). It is Signed and Dated, on lower right, with both difficult to read. It is an Original Watercolor on paper, circa, 1930's and reflects his Modernist, Abstract style. Depicted is a Southwest Landscape with a river cutting through a valley with high, purplish cliffs behind. There are figures working on and near the water. The color palette remains vivid and the piece still looks 'fresh'. Fascinating artwork!
