Original Pair (2) 1987 American Artist Louis Sciullo Signed Oil & Gold Leaf Abstract Diptych "7th Elegy"

We are auctioning "7th Elegy", a Modernist, Abstract Diptych Signed and Dated by the American Artist Louis Sciullo. It is an Original Oil, Gold Leaf, (and more) Collage on Masonite board/box, in 2 separate pieces, comprising the singular work, Titled, on reverse, "7th Elegy". The artist Signed and Dated - 1987 - both pieces in the same place (see images). Dark brown and gold leaf are elegantly contrasted in the piece that depicts a castle tower? with ethereal wings?, with raised letters in a circle (...Future Perfect...). The other piece is lighter and aura-like and seems to have the dark tower at center but also has a leafed tower leaning back and to the left, all encircled with musical notes and raised letters again (...Present Perfect...). Each piece is fascinating and can stand on its own, but together, they are marvelous. It's almost like there is a dialog between the pieces. They would be wonderful flanking an archway or a large fireplace mantle or facing each other in a narrow room. The pieces are is Good to Very Good condition. The finish is delicate so we are storing this item appropriately.
Each piece measures 24 X 24 X 3 (inches deep) and is in Good to Very Good condition w/ random, minor wear.
