Mel Fowler Early Roman - 140 A.D. - Inscription Stone Rubbing

Northeast (NY, NJ) Artist, Sculptor and World traveler, Mel Fowler created this historic stone rubbing of an ancient (140 A.D.) Roman Inscription that he found in the Catacombs of Rome, probably around the mid 20th C.
It is framed in a 3/4" wide black wood, angled moulding with an acid free mat - no glass.
Image (mat) opening measures 12 1/4 x 16. It is in good Vintage condition with a yellowish stain - lower right.
Outside of frame measures 17 3/4 x 21 1/4. It is in Good Vintage condition w/ a few scuffs.
