Listed Mid Century Modernist French Artist Marc Selva Signed and Dated, on lower right, this French Harborside Village scene. It is an Original Oil on Canvas, dated 1961. Late 19th/Early 20th C. village hugs the coastline with the church/cathedral tower standing tall on an island/peninsula (at right) of this cozy village. Two figures walk down a glistening street to the quiet boats and water under a brightening sky. Wonderful color palette highlighted with a hint of Cubism.
1 3/4" Wide Antiqued Silver Flat panel moulding is included in this listing.
Canvas measures 18 1/2 X 21 (French sized) and is in Very Good Vintage condition.
Outside measure of the frame is 21 1/4 X 24 3/4 and is in Very Good condition w/ minor signs of handling.
