Original, Late 20th C., example of Pichwai painting (from the Sanskrit words "Pichh" means back and "wais" means hanging, are large devotional Hindu painted pictures, normally on cloth, which often portray Lord Krishna). This is a watercolor on stretched silk with a foam backing and depicts a circle of dancing figures, mostly women, possibly a celebration of a festival of Krishna. It is unsigned and in Very Good condition. The foam backing shows some wear.
The painting measures 24 x 28.
