19th C. Artist Oscar Shallberg, Signed, on lower left, this Powerful, early 1800's Native American/Indian Battle scene - in Landscape. It is an Original Oil on Canvas and depicts a group of Native Americans surrounding a decimated group of Mexican? soldiers. The piece is beautifully detailed and the dark, green forest landscape contrasts the dynamic figures.
1 3/4" Wide, Green, wood moulding, with an antiqued gold inner lip is included.
Canvas measures 15 X 25 and is in Good to Very Good Antique condition w/ several old patch repairs, done very well!). Please see images for condition.
Outside measure of the frame is approx. 18 X 28 and is in Like-new condition.
