Antique Italian Designed Carved, Inscribed, Painted Gilt Frame/Dish & Ornate Half Circle Wood Frame/ Mat

Wonderfully Carved Antique Italian Display Frame/Dish with glass. Two handles are decorated with criss-cross dots and gilded while the sloping sides are painted off-white. Four screws, on reverse, keep glass in place. Interior designs are swirls and flowers - some staining (copper in paint?) and the back is decorated with dotted diamond shapes and is gilded as well. There is some wear and dirt.
Interesting Half Circle frame and/or mat. It is solid wood and thick board combined and then covered a material that is pulled over tightly and decorated with intricate floral designs.
Frame/Dish measure 14 1/2" Long, 10" Wide and approx. 1 3/4" Tall (laying flat) and is in Good Antique condition.
Frame/Mat measures 9 1/2 x 13 3/4 (Outside) and the opening measures 5 1/4 x 9 1/2 and is in Good Vintage condition.
