Antique Dieppe Sculpture Oval Miniature Bas-relief Ivory Carved French Gentleman 22K Gold Leaf Frame

Antique (early 20th C.) Bas relief, Carved, Dieppe figure, on felt, in an oval, 22K Gold leaf frame. Dieppe is a French seaport and creative center for ivory sculpting since the 1600's. A French gentleman, bicorne hat and twisted cane, looks reminiscent of Napoleon Bonaparte. We find no defects or chips. The patina is warm and even. The 22K gold frame have been touched up over the years (w/ reg. gold leaf), but are still in Good condition, with the pictured, repaired crack, on lower right.
Figure measure approx. 1 1/2 x 4 3/4 and is in Very Good Antique condition.
Outside of frame measure 5 x 6 1/4 and is in good Antique condition and likely original to the piece.
