1885 Hand Colored Cover Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" Framed

1885, Hand Colored, cover or frontpiece of the December 26, 1885 issue of Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper with an illustration titled, "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". It is framed in a classic 1" Wide, Gold Leaf, scoop frame with a delightful Christmas themed, Acid Free, French mat (using pale watercolor wash panels and drawn ink lines) decoration - with gingerbread men at the corners - and glazing.
Certified and framed by GJ Cloninger (labeled, front and back).
It is in Good Antique condition w/ pale water stains along left side.
Image (mat) opening measures approx. 10 x 15.
Outside of frame measures 17 1/2 x 22 3/4.
