1872 Original Antique Historic Map United States Pony Express & Telegraph Routes Acid Free Mounting

Original 1872 Map of the United States, Pony Express and Telegraph routes. It is comprised of 2 colored pages (34 & 35) from a large Atlas. The pieces are adhered from behind and is loose mounted from 2 Acid Free mounts. Map is matted with a cream-colored, black-core mat (acid free as well - no yellowing at border) with a foam backboard. It is in fine condition but there is foxing or brown spots throughout the piece.
Image (mat) opening measures 14 1/4 x 22 1/4.
Paper(s) measure 15 1/2 x 24 1/2
Outside of mat measures 20 1/2 x 28 1/2.
