Robert A. Larum, (1930-2023).Born in Norway. Larum came to the U.S. in 1948, becoming a ski & mountain climbing instructor for the army involved in Mountain & Cold Weather Command in Colorado springs & Camp Hale, Co. Following the military & while working as a stone mason, an injury allowed him to follow his dream of becoming a sculptor. He quickly established a reputation for his bronze equine sculptures which have been collected worldwide. Subjects of his work also include wildlife, dogs, farm animals & people. His pieces are in private, public & corporate collections throughout the world. "Porky" pig bronze sculpture sitting on his hind legs, beautiful patina.Signed by artist, dated 1993 & numbered 14/24. Porky is mounted to a walnut revolving platform. Sculpture measures 20" x 14" x 14 1/2" T. Sculpture on platform is 16 1/2" T.
