Vincenzo Laricchia, B. 1940 in Naples, Italy . Laricchia graduated from L'Accademia delle Belle Arte di Napoli & shortly after became well known for his delightful & mood-filled coastal scenes as well as his charming Parisian street scenes. He as been presented with the Italian President's gold medallion as the most deserving & worthy painter in Italy. He was awarded numerous other awards including the French Golden Brush Award in 1976. His popularity has spread to the international art market & his works can be found in many fine galleries around the world. This beautiful painting on canvas of a coastal city with boats on the beach & sunset over the mountain in the background is 19" x 15 1/2. The elaborately carved gold leaf frame is 30" x 26". Signed by artist in lower right corner & back of canvas.
