Original mid century oil painting by Russian artist Contantine Cherkas is one of several paintings. Artist is known for his use of vivid color & abstract style. Painting titled "Sunset in Santa Monica" depicts a beach at sunset with two figures on the shore & sailboats on the water. Signed in lower left corner. Painted on masonite. Image is 35 3/4" W x 27 3/4" H. Simple gold finished wood frame measures 37 1/4" X 29 1/4". Note 3" chip in painting lower center. Surface scratches to frame, otherwise in excellent condition.
