Aida Whedon, painter, etcher, and teacher, was born in 1915 in New Orleans and died in 1993 in Port Washington, NY. Her primary state of residence was New York.
The artist studied at the Art Students League with Thomas Hart Benton and Hans Hoffman from 1933 to 1938 and with Ruth Leaf at the New School of Social Research from 1975 to 1980. She worked and taught at Whedon Art Center in Port Washington from 1945 until her death.
