Octopus - H: 55", W: 27 3/4", Fish - H: 13 1/2", W: 21 1/2"

Chef Paolo Penati was head chef of Fresno's in East Hampton until about 1990 when he opened his own restaurant on Route 27 in Southampton "Paolo's". This gifted artist and imaginative cook decorated the walls of his restaurant with whimsical art that was the restaurant's calling card. This Octopus and School of Fish were taken off the walls by Chef Paolo Penati and gifted to the current owner as dedicated on the verso of the Octopus.
