We are uncertain as to the dates- Google Translate shows them alternatingly as 1912 and 1923, depending on the photo- please do your own research on this one and ask if you need additional detail! The work is bound in the publisher's stitched, stiff wraps, with gold flecks. Beautiful color woodcut plates. Contents bright & clean. The full color images are beautiful, showing various aspects of the birds, all views, body & wing details, claws, feathers: with color woodblock printed and hand-tinted colors.

NOTE: Ex-library, with markings to covers (in pencil) and on endpapers (stamps and pencil). Plates are NOT marked or defaced! Two volumes come in sturdy library slipcase.
