Karen Chandler grew up in Minnesota where she graduated from Mankato State College with a BA in education. She moved to Colorado in 1968 to teach school in the Jefferson County School System. She is currently retired and is pursuing her love of art and life.
Karen, always enthralled by nature s beauty. has developed a keen awareness of her surroundings and incorporates these observations into ber paintings. To improve her skills, knowledge, and challenge her abilities as an artist of otl, watercolor and pastel painting Karen continues take classes and workshops.
Karen is a rcalistic painter. She uses her photos taken while hiking and exploring Colorado, as reference, in her studio. She also likes to do plein air painting.
Karen is a member of the followings guilds;
Arvada Fine Arts, Glenwood Springs.
Heritage Fine Arts, Mountainside Art, ano
Park Hill. She belongs to Shows On Loan, a co-op of exhibiting artists. She participates in numerous shows held by these groups.
Karen's work is on display at various business, restaurants and pubile bullanes in
the Denver Area
