Item Description

William Adelman (American, 1928 - 2014) : Kankamagus View, 2007. Watercolor on cold pressed paper. Signed below. Labels from the Falmouth Artists Guild verso, juror's choice winner, framed.

William Adelman was an American artist and former member of the Copley Society of Art and the Cape Cod Art Association. He studied painting in New York under notable artists such as the Soyer brothers, Robert Benny, and Gregorio Prestopino. Adelman also served as an art critic for the Enterprise Newspapers on Cape Cod. Throughout his life, he remained dedicated to painting daily, participating in juried contests, and attending art shows.
