Albion Harris Bicknell (1837�1915) was an American artist known for his portraits, landscapes, and history paintings. Born in Turner, Maine, he studied at the Lowell Institute and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. A member of the Boston artistic community, he befriended prominent artists like William Morris Hunt. Bicknell's notable portraits included Senators Edward Everett and Charles Sumner. He exhibited regularly at the Boston Athenaeum and later hosted annual exhibitions at his studio in Malden. In his later years, he focused on watercolors and landscapes featuring cattle. Bicknell remained active in the art scene until his death in 1915.
