Today we are back in Wilton,CT selling the remaining contents of the G & B Cultural Center which has closed after many years. . . the auction consists primarily of the work of James R Pascucci ...view more(1928-2015) we had many of his pieces in the last auction and they did very well. . . .THE WORKS IN THIS SALE ARE BETTER (in my opinion) . . . . . .James was an artist whose work was stimulated by the painting relationships that express the mood color and light of expressionism . . .this interplay, as well as a love for coastal New England, has led to a profusion of beach and harbor scenes that are the hallmark of his work, Jim was also captivated by the beauty and color found in nature and its surroundings, he found inspiration in a variety of subject matter: gardens, flowers, barns, fences, antique shops - all provide an impetus for visual translation into a landscape or still life that evokes a memory or sensory connection . . . .A Weston resident for over 40 years, his paintings have been with Cavalier Galleries, Greenwich and Nantucket; the Handwright Gallery and Framing, New Canaan; Noroton Gallery and Frame Studio, Darien; Laura Barton’s Designer Frames and Gallery, Saugatuck; Galleria D’Arte, Ridgefield; Mary Lou Fischer Gallery, Guilford; Fine Framing, Georgetown; and Creation Art Gallery and Studios, West Palm Beach, Florida. Jim’s paintings are also found in private and corporate collections such as General Electric, Aetna and Perkin-Elmer. . . . . . . . .
