Sam and Alex were born healthy and happy and had a great few years, at 8 years old both began to show symptoms of unsteadiness.  A few short months later Sam was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia, shortly after Alex was diagnosed also.  Since the diagnosis  both Sam and Alex have risen to the challenges of Friedreich’s Ataxia with dignity and strength and live their lives with optimism.
