Vincent Abner was a U.S. Army Veteran,
His artwork entitled Toss of the Dice, a 2017 Bronze award winner in the National Veterans Creative Arts
Vincent was also a published artist and writer for Stars and Stripes newspaper through the military, and The N.E. Informer in the
Artist Corner section, where he was a featured artist and writer.
Vincent Abner a featured artist that had art exhibits throughout the state of Connecticut.
He was known to just sit and draw a "Vincent Abner Original" whether it be on a napkin or the back of his receipt to anyone.

In the United States Army had proved to be the vehicle for performing and visual art exposure and was commissioned to assist in painting murals, designing plaques, news publications, etc. and taught art, freelance for publications, and designed logos.

Abner was an artist who worked full time for in the city of Bridgeport
To many families and friends, he was known as the “Camera Man” or the guy who played the bass upside down.
He's known for his art, music and photography as he played bass for Gospel singer and songwriter, Dorothy Norwood as well as fulfilled his biggest dream of playing and singing alongside his children, at the LOV Women's Conference of Stratford, CT.
