Item Description

This is an original offset lithograph from 1988 of Yale Eye Chart designed by renowned graphic designer, Paul Rand for the Yale Alumni Fund. Most famous for his IBM logo, Rand also taught design at Yale University.
Incorporating the school's mascot, Handsom Dan into an eye chart built exclusively of the letter Y displayed on various axes, the design encapsulates the message that no matter how good your vision, you can see Yale (and the handiwork of its graduates and scholars). Simple, logical, clear, iconic, witty - a wonderful example of the power of good design.The poster measures 8 ¾ x 17 ¼ inches and is in excellent condition.
