Item Description

The model is all hand done. It's 8 1/4"" long and 1 1/4" wide. It has a lot of great detail including moving guns. On the bottom the person who made it named the ship (California) and the date he made it - 1939. The battleship USS California was badly damaged at Pearl Harbor and eventually sank. She was raised in 1942 and repairs took until 1944 before she was ready to sail again. The condition is good but there are some small losses which could be redone.
