Item Description

Vintage William Kimp Furniture Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan- Drop front Desk - with 3 below- desk storage drawers, 12 interior cubby storage places ( 7 drawers, 1 2-door cabinet, and 7 open spaces ) and a lovely, eye- catching two-tone crotch fan on the drop-down desk lid. See photos for closer view. There is a locking feature on the upper desk section with a writing surface when dropped down. Includes key. Hardware knobs are brass with a pearl style insert. *Grand Rapids, MI. Manufacturer medallion is inside of top left drawer. There are several notches on either side of locking portion that may be attributed to someone trying to get into the locked portion at some point. Dovetail drawer joinery. Reeded fancy legs! Inside the locked portion are 7 drawers, 4 letter slots (2 on each side of center area). There is a 2 door cubby cabinet in the center with a cubby below & 2 more tall storage cubbies on each of the outer edges.

Dimensions:
Drop front desk is 38 x 20 x 48-1/2" tall.
Long drawer is 33-1/2" wide (32-1/2" inside width) x 18" total depth.
Two smaller drawers each 16-1/4" wide (15-1/2" inside width) x 18 " total depth.
Drop down writing surface is 33-1/4" wide x 16-1/2" deep.

Notes: Good overall. Some scratches/patina loss from vintage & use. Notches on either side of locked portion. See photos.
