Item Description

This is a lovely Zuni fetish necklace of hand carved natural stone bears with hand made heishi beads of shell and turquoise. There are 17 bears, including the center larger one, beautifully carved of various natural semi-precious stones, including turquoise, onyx, lapis, malachite, amber, mother of pearl, and others.
Each bear measures approximately 3/4 inch from nose to tail, with the center bear measuring one inch long. The necklace is 29 inches in length.
The clasp is a hook closure with caps stamped “RG STERLING”. RG probably stands for Raymond Gasper, an artist of the Zuni tribe.
