Vintage Oak Gerstner Tool Chest 7- Drawer Plus Top Compartment Chest -1946 Letter From Gerstner Co & TOOLS!!

16" wide x 8 1/2" deep x 13" tall. All 8 corner metal protectors are affixed in good condition. Five latches for the top lift lid are in good working condition.
Inside is a dated letter, hand-typed and signed, then mailed from H Gerstner & Sons on March 26, 1946, to the one and only owner of this Tool Chest about the availability and where to buy one of their Chests. He has maintained some of the tools in their original boxes and metal rules in their original labeled sleeves. Please study the photos- this Gerstner is loaded with valuable- vintage machinists' tools: Caliper, Taper Gages, STANLEY Rule, Starrett Steel Rules, Pocket Rules, and MORE!!! The Bridgeport People's Savings Bank 6" rule has the 1943 calendar on one side.

Notes: Overall the body is Good. The front door too has had a little expansion so it is too tight to close. Handle has age appropriate wear.
