Item Description

This is certainly not a sofa you see everyday! Vintage (estimated circa 1950s, reupholstered likely in the 1970s) modern modular sofa with a low-profile and curving lines upholstered in a lustrous cream fabric contrasted with dark wood trim at the arm caps and running the length of the base with a Greek key pattern. Included in this lot are two pieces, a double seat with floral upholstered back cushions in soft blue, green and cream and a curving end single seat that can serve as a side table if the seat cushion is removed, revealing a faux slate end table surface.

High bidder must come prepared on designated pickup day/time with the necessary labor/materials to move this piece (in other words you must have two or more people capable of moving said piece) as well as any equipment like dollies, hand-trucks, moving blankets and the like. There is a wheelchair ramp at the front of the house that will come in handy to move - otherwise no stairs.

Notes: This piece was kept under plastic for many decades and the family says people were not really encouraged to sit on it day-to-day. Structurally it is very solid and cushioning is extremely comfy with no slouching or sinking. There are a few small spots to the upholstery here and there (some water staining on the right side of the base) but in good condition for its age and considering the light color of the upholstery.
