The sister piece to the other very groovy and rare sofa in this auction. This is a vintage piece that is believed to be originally made in the 1950s and then reupholstered and refurbished in the 1970s (see tag). It features a modern armless low profile design with a lustrous cream upholstery contrasted with dark stained wood trim that runs the length of the base with a Greek key pattern. This lot includes two pieces, the armless three-seater sofa with floral pattern back cushions in soft green, blue and cream as well as four coordinating throw pillows, and a squared end table with upholstered sides, dark wood trim and a faux slate top.
Sofa 72.5"l x 30"d x 24"h
End Table 32" x 32" x 14"
Notes: This piece was kept under plastic for many decades and the family says people were not really encouraged to sit on it day-to-day. Structurally it is very solid and cushioning is extremely comfy with no slouching or sinking. There are a few small spots to the upholstery here and there (some water staining on the left side of the base and on the side table) but in good condition for its age and considering the light color of the upholstery. Very minor TLC could really make these pieces shine!
