Vintage mixed media painting of a freshly opened bottle of 7-UP - framed and matted but no glass. The bottle is made with a combination of gouache and cut out paper with a pink painted background. The slogan, ‘You like it, It likes you’, was used for many years but wasn’t always painted on the bottle. It is not signed on the front, but ‘Sal Walsh’ (I think) is written in ballpoint pen on the back. The frame is made of wood and painted black. It was professionally framed by Castle of Bronx, NY. Based on this label, the artwork might have been done in the 1950s or early 1960s.
A must for 7UP fans.
Frame measures 12” x 19”.
Art measures 5” x 11 1/2”.
Notes: No glass, some minor wear on the corners and edges of frame, art looks good, yellowing on the matte, paper on back is torn and has some staining.
Consistent with age and use.
