Vintage Mid-Century - Genuine Taxidermy Alligator Purse Handbag - Head Legs - Glass Eyes - 2 Position Strap

Vintage handbag or purse - made of genuine taxidermy, alligator skin, head and legs, with glass eyes. This handbag was made in Cuba most likely in the 1950s. It has a snap closure that I find awkward because you have to push on the head of the gator. The straps have snaps that allow you to carry the piece on your arm (short - 20”) or on your shoulder (long - 36”). It still has the tissue stuffing inside and doesn’t appear to have been used.

Notes: Clean, no odours, minor wear on straps from being stored, leather stitching looks good, some flyaway threads are visible by gator’s mouth, not dried out.
