Featured here is a 10 piece Luncheon Serving set of the ever popular King's Crown pattern, also known as Thumbprint, in a beautiful rich amber color. The set includes 5 plates and 5 cups.
There is a long and complicated history of this pattern originally introduced by Adams Glass Co. during the late 1800's. It became very popular and was copied by other glass manufacturers. Indiana Glass introduced their King's Crown in the late 1950's. After some research, I do believe this set was produced by Indiana Glass.
Also included is a stunning Amber Footed Sunflower pattern bowl produced by the Indiana Glass Company. This bowl features a lovely sunflower design with the petals forming a scalloped edge on the top, sitting on three feet. Perfect as a fruit bowl or serving bowl.
This whole set is a wonderful example of vintage American glass design.
All pieces are in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
