Italica ARS was founded at the beginning of 1900s.
In 1926, the company was in the hands of Tito Bellini, who in 1931 sold it to brothers Giulio and Danilo Corsani. The production of the 1930s is characterized by the use of a “coral” red typical of the company’s production. Some famous works made by Stelio Corsani in Futurist style are dated back to this period.
During the war, the production was suspended and then resumed in 1948. The production of the postwar years, whose direction is entrusted until 1962 to Turiddu Mori, includes modern and traditional ceramics.
In the second half of the 1970s, artistic director of the factory, which employs about 120 employees, is Ferrero Mercantelli, who, in 1977, calls the painter Antonio Manzi to create some works.
Among the contributors of the time include the ceramist Lazzaro.
In 2009, the company closed it's doors.
