RARE Vtg DODO "BAT" Roadside Warning KEROSENE LAMP LANTERN ENGLAND Red Glass RARE embossed DODO "BAT" roadside signaling lantern with original yellow paint and three red glass lenses. Removable kerosene burner.
Lantern measures 5-1/2" square by 15" tall.
Great condition aside from some peeling paint and needing a very thorough cleaning.
Hard to find others in such nice shape!
This wonderful lantern was mainly used in England as a traffic lantern - the hook was used to hang the lantern over road blocks to signal oncoming traffic.
