Unusual vintage Chilean drinking gourd, made for the consumption of YERBA MATE TEA. It is a traditional form, the gourd husked out and trimmed in brass, with a splayed foot. The neck of the gourd is the handle. This example has an early affixed Chilean peso coin, adding visual interest. Good overall condition.
