Vintage Set of Blue Ridge Red Nocturne pattern dinnerware circa 1940. This amazing set contains 38 pieces of Blue Ridge tableware featuring a hand-painted underglaze with a delicate scalloped edge.
Blue Ridge is a brand of American tableware manufactured by Southern Potteries Incorporated from the 1930s until 1957. Well known for their underglaze decoration and colorful patterns. The underglaze technique made the decorations more durable, and while basic patterns were reused consistently, the fact that each piece was hand-painted means that no two pieces are exactly alike. Beautiful handmade & hand-painted set of vintage American China.
This set is in good used condition, colors are still vibrant and some plates have smalls chips, shown in last two photos. It is difficult to notice the chips with the busy pattern.
