Vintage Art Deco Ca. 1940 SUN KRAFT Quack Medical Sun Tanning Lamp With Mercury Filled Bulb

When released 80+ years ago, this lamp was touted for having many benefits for good health. It is an early form of a 'quack medical' device, which likely caused more harm than good. It has a 'quartz' bulb, which has liquid mercury floating inside. When lit, the bulb glows an electric blue. The goggles are present, to protect the user's eyes from UV. A VERY interesting device, in excellent condition. Created in an era when such devices were allowed to be sold without any proof of legitimacy. Even includes original hard carrying case.
