Item Description

This alabaster Carmen plate is the 3rd limited edition plate in the La Scala Grand Opera Collection issued under the auspices of La Scala's famous museum, the Museo Teatrale alla Scala. The plate was sculpted by the famed sculpter, Gino Ruggeri, who said it was one of his finest works. It was made in celebration of the bicentennial of the Teatro Alla Scala of Milan. 8.3” in diameter.

Also included in this lot are four vintage Metropolitan Opera librettos for the following operas: Carmen, Werther, Manon, and et Mélisande, as well as an Opera Orchestra of New York libretto for I vespri siciliani.
