Original Vanity Fair lithograph, by Quiz, of Sir Richard Henn Collins (RH Collins, Baron Collins) in “Smith’s Leading Cases”. From January 14, 1893, Quiz portrayed the Queen’s counsel, lawyer and judge, RH Collins, infamous for presiding over Oscar Wilde’s first trial and as a three-time editor of the legal text, Smith’s Leading Cases for which the lithograph is named. The artist, Sir John Paget Mellor, was also a lawyer and artist who signed under the pseudonym “Quiz”.
