Victorian Celluloid Box

Splendid antique (late 19th century) jewelry box made from off-white celluloid. It has a floral design on the lid and grape leaf design around the sides. Very good condition, with some darkening of the celluloid typical of age but no chips or cracks. There are small areas in the corners where the celluloid is coming away from the wood, as shown, which can be easily repaired. Water marks on the bottom do not bleed to the interior.
