Item Description

Satta Pass was known as a difficult point on the Tokaido. However, after conquering the steep pass facing the ocean travelers were rewarded with the sudden appearance of Mount Fuji. Before this pass, travellers walked along the cliff, just off the coast. Quite a few people were swept away by sudden high waves here, and this dangerous spot was known to be “everybody for himself”. This exquisite view of Mount Fuji contrasted with the steep slopes of the pass is beautiful.
