Two Vintage Crucifixes

Pair of similar wood and metal crosses, possibly ebony and nickel and possibly mid-century (but I have seen similar ones dating to 1800's), both stamped "Germany" on the rear. Often referred to as Priest and Nun crucifixes. Lovely renditions of Christ with skull and crossbones at the base and INRE at the top with decorations of the Sacred Heart on the back of the cross. Both have hanging loops. Good condition aside from tarnish and a few very minor dings. Attractive and well-made pieces - see photos.

Consistent with age and use.
