Two Chinese Carved, Paneled And Turned Stained Wood Stools

The taller one with a rectangular paneled seat above four transverses with baluster turnings centering a pierced rondel, on square molded legs joined by rectangular stretchers. The shorter stool, similar in style, but with a flat seat and signed with a four-character Chinese mark to underside. Shorter measures 18.5" in height.

Notes: One with loose stretcher and slightly wobbly. Smaller stool has been shortened and with small piece missing from top leg joint and one piece missing from transverse. Please see photos.

Consistent with age and use.
