Three Piece Native American Group

A hand-carved Pipe Stem, Carved wood Pipe Bowl and a Painted Clay Southwestern Vessel. The Pipe Stem is finely and well-carved with an arrow running most of the length, a textured ripple carved and very soft surface and bears a maker’s mark on the underside. A stone-like platform at the far end once held some type of animal figure which is broken off and missing. The Pioe Stem measures 24” long by 1.75” deep by 1.75” high. The Vintage Pipe Bowl is hardwood, large, has remnants of Red Stain, and bears an imprint of the number 20 on the base. There are stable age splits to the wood which don’t detract. Pipe Bowl measures 6.25” long by 2” deep by 3.25” high. The Southwestern Ceramic piece is signed, “Gayfeather/ Ute”, with Ute being the Tribal affiliation. In the form of a Pipe, the piece is likely an Incense Burner for Sage with the smoke escaping through the top of the Bowl. Very good condition with some old marks to the interior. The ceramic measures 7.25” long by 3.25”
