Item Description

The Standard Red Cedar Chest Co. Inc. Antique Chest Trunk With Original Brass Hardware.
From Altavista, Virginia. Style 401. This company was the origins of what later became the Lane Furniture Company. It features brass handles, metal strapping with many nail heads showing for structural strength and added appeal, a metal Maker's plaque, casters for each of its four feet (two have come loose but can be easily replaced). Medium sized cedar trunk: 21 1/4” tall x 21 7/8” deep x 44 1/2” wide. It amazingly still has its Original store sales tag from a store that was out in California!
