Italian Sorrento Inlaid Wood Marquetry Rolling Bar Cart

Purchased in Sorrento, Italy in 1993. It is in excellent condition, with a high gloss lacquered finish, and beautiful sheen. Three of the wheels are intact and turn quite smoothly, but one of the wheels' plastic “tread” is broken, and only half of the tread remains.

The cart has some slight, light wear to the finish, and some light surface scuffs that should polish out nicely. The cart has a gorgeous floral pattern done with inlays of different types of wood veneers. The cart’s large wheels are metal, with rubber tread, and the smaller wheels are metal with plastic tread. The cart’s handle is also metal. The wood on the supports, and handle, are machine turned wood.

The cart is about 27.25” tall, with the bottom level sitting at around 7.5” in height, the cart is 30” in diameter at the top level with the leaves up, is about 31.5” front to back including the handle, is 16.5” wide with the leaves down.

Purchased in April, 1993, the cart was made in Sorrento, Italy, by A. Stinga, and comes with a catalog, spare inlaid wood replacement pieces, and original purchase receipt.

It is a gorgeous tea cart with minimal wear, that would be a fabulous addition to any home. It has exquisite craftsmanship, and beautiful style.
