VERY fine antique 18th century Northern European trunk with original paint and hand wrought hardware/ handles. It is a superb example, dated 1798 with flourishes not often seen in early trunks- notably the top hasps with pierced hearts and clovers and ornate escustcheon plates with sturdy handles. measures 26" L by 19" D by 17" T
