This excellent quality hand sewn trapunto art is from Thailand, purchased in the 80's while I traveled throughout Thailand. Trapunto is a quilting technique that creates raised motifs on the quilt top by adding stuffing into defined areas. In this piece, stone looking like gems are added to this beautiful image of a Thai demi-god dancing.
