Stunning Antique Circa 1870 Chinese Carved Wood Make-up Box With Adjustable Mirror Stand

It is a superb antique Chinese Qing Dynasty carved wood make up box, dating between 1860-1880. It has its' original red and gold paint, period arrow-form pulls, 3 drawers, and a fantastically carved adjustable easel, that would have been used to rest a mirror against [a personal hand mirror, usually round with jade, cloisonne or ivory handle]. It is an impressive example, in very good overall condition. Centering the easel are a pair of scholars, the pediment song birds and cherry blossoms. It does not show its' 150+ year age. IT IS A LARGE EXAMPLE, extending to 20" at full height, with a base measuring 11" by 11". The pediment is 15.5" across.
