This Delftware plate features a blue and white portrait of Frans Hals, a renowned Dutch painter known for his expressive portraits in the 17th century. The plate depicts Hals in characteristic attire with a mustache and beard, capturing his recognizable features. The back of the plate displays a triangular mark with initials, identifying it as a product of Porceleyne Fles (also known as "Royal Delft" or "De Porceleyne Fles"). This prestigious Dutch manufacturer is famous for its Delftware, especially decorative plates with portraits and Dutch scenes. The plate's quality and style are consistent with pieces produced by Porceleyne Fles in the 20th century, probably 1968. Visible wear or damage is noted
Notes: There are visible signs of surface wear, primarily in the painted area, which could indicate scratches or minor glaze loss. No visible cracks or chips were noted on the edges, suggesting the plate's overall integrity is preserved.
